Activist Coaching

About Guy Gladstone

I bring to coaching 39 years experience of working with both individuals and groups for their personal development and the realisation of their potential. I worked at and was a partner within The Open Centre from 1984 to 2021, a venue/venture unique in London by virtue of its 45 year association with Humanistic Psychology and the Human Potential Movement (out of which coaching first developed in the USA).

I have a Diploma (Merit) in Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy, and am a Member of The Association for Coaching . I have been accredited as a psychotherapist since 1988 by the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners for work with both individuals and groups. I am a graduate of three trainings,- The Institute for the Development of Human Potential (2 years), The Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies (3 years) and the British Association of Analytical body Psychotherapy (5 years). I am subject to both the AC and UKAHPP Codes of Ethics. I also supervise practitioners in a variety of settings. I refresh and underpin my coaching work by receiving occasional personal coaching myself.

I have trained to facilitate The Work that Reconnects, Carbon Conversations and Climate Cafes, and support Extinction Rebellion. I am a member of The Climate Psychology Alliance; see their Therapeutic Support Directory for details of three pro bono individual sessions and the Calendar of Events for my monthly free for the general public Climate Cafes on the South Coast.
